Adult Outreach Services

Macon Resources, Inc.'s (MRI) Adult Outreach Program and Intermittent Community Integrated Living Arrangements (CILA) support people with developmental disabilities in their own homes or apartments. We can help in many areas, like:

  • Medical appointments/medication review

  • Money management

  • Social skills/leisure activities

  • Grocery shopping and nutrition needs

  • Personal shopping

  • Laundry assistance

  • Housekeeping/training

  • Transportation

  • Counseling

  • Community orientation

  • Crisis intervention

Adult Outreach's monthly activity calendar gives individuals something to do on nights and weekends. Exciting activities like cooking night, game night, museum trips, a day at the Peoria Riverboat, theater productions, music events, weekend shopping trips, community dances, and much more.

“I enjoy attending activities with my peers and also working, especially in the food skills training program. I recently had the opportunity to volunteer at a nursing home and loved it. I hope someone will take good care of me when I get older. A good thing that just happened to me was that my case manager helped me become a registered voter.”
